- Advance contribution rates
The Advance Contribution Rates for the 2025/2026 Policy Year have been agreed, and renewal terms will be notified to members individually.
A reduction may be granted for ships trading exclusively in one of the following areas:
- Europe (including the Mediterranean, other than in Additional Premium Areas)
- USA and Canada (excluding Panama Canal transits)
- Australasia
Extensions to trading outside any of these areas will be covered on the basis of a minimum period of three months.

On 28 January, a Greek-flagged tanker was boarded by two armed individuals while transiting eastbound through the Singapore Strait.
The attack took place approximately 2.7 nautical miles northwest of Pemping Island, Indonesia, according to maritime security firm Ambrey. The pirates, armed with knives, targeted the vessel during the incident. This boarding is adding to a growing number of piracy incidents in the region.
