The incident

A project engineer was in the moonpool area to verify the torque settings on the wrench, as stipulated in the task plan. The project engineer stepped in to assist the deck engineer and they began torquing the bolts together. During the torquing of the last bolt, the project engineer placed his left hand on the reaction bar of the force multiplier as torque was being applied. His hand slipped and was trapped between the reaction bar and the gooseneck causing a hand injury.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has issued an investigation report regarding the Collision between Bulk Carrier Bunun Queen and Offshore Supply Vessel Thunder that took place last July in Port Fourchon, Louisiana.

On July 23, 2022, about 1314 local time, the bulk carrier Bunun Queen, transiting eastbound in the Gulf of Mexico with 20 crewmembers on board, and the northbound offshore supply vessel Thunder collided about 66 miles south of Port Fourchon, Louisiana.

On Sunday, oil tanker Seavigour broke down in a single-lane section of Suez Canal, causing a brief disruption on the global waterway.

According to international news sources, the vessel suffered mechanical failure at the 12 kilometres mark of the canal. Unfortunately, the tanker broke down in a single-lane section of the waterway, causing eight other vessels to be delayed.
