Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), published a statement this week to inform that the ship that had been under a pirate attack in Gulf of Guinea, Success 9, was located on April 15th and the crew is safe.

Pirates boarded the chemical/product tanker Success 9 last week, 300 miles off the of Ivory Coast a few weeks after Monjasa Reformer tanker was also attacked in the area. According to MPA, a commercial ship, Monjasa Sprinter, passing by picked up a distress call from Success 9. The master of Monjasa Sprinter then reported the location of Success to the latter’s Company Security Officer (CSO).

According to International Group, the guidance has been developed as a learning aid and may be used to facilitate discussion on board. This guide can be used in conjunction with the mooring animation produced by the International Group.
