On 7th June, a cargo ship, the Taisei Maru No.21 ran aground off the coast of Kasaoka City at the tip of Kogochi Island in the Inner Japan Sea.
According to information’s, no injuries were reported, and attempts are ongoing to refloat the vessel.
However, there were no reports of bad weather which could have impacted the operations.
As informed, the cargo ship sailed between Takasago City, near Kobe, to Kure City, near Hiroshima.
According to reports, there was no pollution or hull damage. The five crew onboard the ship are also safe.
A tugboat was dispatched to aid the cargo ship and plans to refloat it once there is high tide.
