Two crew members of bulk carrier CARAVOS HARMONY were found dead in their cabins, reportedly in their shower rooms, on Feb 21.
The accident happened when the ship was under way in Atlantic Ocean, en route from Port Elizabeth SAR to Macapa, Brazil, Amazon River estuary. Both deceased seamen are of Ukrainian nationality, they were Second and Third Engineers. Bulk carrier anchored off Macapa on Feb 26. Caravos Harmony was last in the news in 2019, when she struck the anchored bulker Pan Acacia in the harbour at Vancouver, British Columbia.
